1992 November 15 | Sunday: A tow truck hauls a crumpled Richard Petty (43) Petty Enterprises Pontiac Grand Prix to the garage during the 33rd Annual Hooters 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. The Petty Enterprises crew repaired the car so Richard Petty would be running at the finish of his final race as an active driver.
